This program prepares students for many mid and entry-level roles in Cloud Computing Environments. Students will gain experience in open-source technologies, scripting languages, regulatory compliance, multi-cloud environments, serverless computing, inter and intra-region data transfers, system engineering, and software development.

Students will learn how to design, plan, and manage a cloud infrastructure while becoming familiar with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), orchestration and automation of work in the cloud, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning technologies on a cloud platform.

How to register on the web

  1. Login to the ACES portal with your Alamo Colleges District ID and Password (if you do not have your Alamo Colleges District ID you need to go through the admissions process to receive one: how to apply).
  2. Select Student Tab
  3. Click on the "Register Here" icon.
  4. Click the “Proceed to Registration” link. Once the survey is completed it will allow you to proceed to the next page.
  5. Select "Browse Classes" to look up which classes you want to register for.
  6. Select a Term from the list (i.e. Fall, Spring, Summer, etc).
  7. Enter the course subject (i.e. ENGL for English) and course number (i.e. 1301) and select Search.
      1. This returns a list of all courses meeting the criteria you entered. It will include information about the course such as college location, section information, instructor, meeting times, instructional method (online, face to face, remote), and status (if there are still seats available).
  8. Once you have found a course you want to register for, click Add to the far right of the class listing.
  9. In the Summary box, make sure the course shows as "Web Registered" under action. Then click Submit.
      1. If you don't click Submit, the course will not be added to your schedule.
      2. To add more courses, click "Search Again" and proceed with steps 7-9 until you have added all desired courses. 

Note: If there were any errors or holds (pre-requisite, co-requisite, other restrictions), the error/hold would display with your schedule and the course will not be added.

To add classes that are linked (must be taken together), click the View Linked option on the right, and select "Add All" to add both course registration numbers (CRNs). Make sure both courses are visible in the Summary box as Pending under "Status" and "Web Registered" under action. Then, click Submit. All courses should show as "registered in the summary box.

  1. Go to the Dynamic Schedule page and choose The Semester from the pull-down menu
  2. Click Submit button
  3. Choose a Subject from the list (REQUIRED, i.e. ENGL-English)
  4. Choose the College (i.e. Northwest Vista College, or choose All)
  5. Choose Part of Term (i.e. Full Term, or choose All)
  6. Choose Session or leave it All; choose Location or leave it All; make any other selections (or leave blank for all available)
  7. Click Class Search

Learn More About Our Summer Momemtum Plan

The Alamo Colleges District is offering a Summer Momentum Plan (SMP) for Summer 2024 that saves eligible students time and money.

This plan allows eligible students who earned hours in Spring 2024 at any of the five colleges in the Alamo Colleges District, to get three to nine hours FREE credit hours in the Summer 2024 semester.

The Summer Momentum Plan is a last-dollar scholarship that will cover tuition and fees after all other financial aid resources have been awarded in most cases.

Locating how much you owe for tuition 

  1. Login to the ACES portal
  2. Select Student.
  3. Select Web Services.
  4. Select Student and Financial Aid.
  5. Select Student Account.
  6. Select Account Summary to review your account balance.
  7. To make a payment, select Make a Payment.

Official Transcript Requests

Transcript requests are being processed daily, however, due to required validation of converted data, it may take more than 10 business days to process your request.  Please contact your Enrollment Services/Admissions and Records Office if your request is not processed in 10 business days so that they may follow up on your request.  Please do not submit another request, as this may further delay your transcript.

Request official transcripts in ACES by doing the following:

  • Login to ACES
  • Click Web Services
  • Select Student Tab
  • Go to Student Records
  • Click Academic Transcripts
  • Select Request Printed Transcript (at the bottom of the page)

If you have questions about the courses or grades on your transcript, please contact your Enrollment Services/Admissions and Records Office for assistance.

Viewing and Printing Your Unofficial Alamo College Transcript

Please note that unofficial transcripts are available in ACES by doing the following:

  • Login to ACES
  • Click Web Services
  • Select Student Tab
  • Go to Student Records
  • Click Academic Transcripts
  • Select Transcript Level --> Undergraduate
  • Select Transcript Type --> Unofficial Transcript
  • Click Submit
 

Student ID and Password 

If you do not have your Alamo Colleges District ID and need to go through the admissions process to receive one, please complete the Application for Admission.
